【百道编按】英国翁达杰文学奖近期公布了入围短名单的作品，虚构与非虚构作品各半。其中，较引人注目的是英国文学杂志《格兰塔》编辑兼出版人西格丽德·劳辛的田野调查作品《Everything is Wonderful》，知名小说家、诗人海伦·邓莫尔关注战火中普通人感受和创伤的新作《The Lie》以及土耳其女作家艾莉芙·夏法克的《The Architect’s Apprentice》。
5月，英国皇家文学学会主办的翁达杰奖颁布了入围短名单，6部作品榜上有名。该奖项2004年以捐助人命名，用以表彰英联邦和爱尔兰共和国范围内致力于“地之灵”的小说、非小说和诗歌作品。克里斯托弗·翁达杰为斯里兰卡裔加拿大商人和慈善家，其弟是《英国病人》作者迈克尔·翁大街，曾获1992年布克奖。
